As evidenced in Christy living in different places throughout the
United States and Europe, Christy is always ready for a challenge and
embraces new experiences. In that regard, while studying law at Texas
Tech University School of Law in Lubbock, Texas, she eagerly accepted
the Tax Clinic's prestigious invitation extended to only seven students
to work as a student-attorney. Her Tax Clinic experience of handling
diverse tax controversy issues against the Internal Revenue Service
prompted Christy, a licensed Texas attorney, to further her tax focus
and earn a LL.M. in Taxation from the University of Florida in Gainesville.
While treating herself to a vacation in Anchorage after graduating
from the University of Florida, Christy fell in love with Alaska, decided
to make Anchorage her new home, and joined the Durrell Law Group in 2007.
Because Christy loves Alaska and her job, she now enjoys the best of both
worlds and looks forward to her new adventures in Alaska.
